What NextProbe does
NextProbe sits beside you at the bench and tells you where to probe next. You pick the board and say what it is doing. NextProbe opens your boardview, lights the point to measure and shows where the red and black leads go. It names the meter mode and says why the reading matters. Then it reads the meter itself, judges the reading against the expected range, saves it and moves to the next step.
A typical step reads like this: "Black on TP3. Red on TP4. We're doing this to check the 3.3 V standby rail is up."
Each reading narrows the fault until NextProbe names the part, with the evidence that led there. After the repair, a retest measures every point that was wrong again, so you hand the board back knowing the fix worked. The session then becomes a tech report, a customer report and a job sheet.
Every confirmed fix also feeds back, anonymised, into the reference values and fault trees the next tech on that board gets.
