What's new

New features in the bench app, the web app and the phone companion, newest first.

October 2026

Print… (⌘P on a Mac, Ctrl+P on Windows) prints whatever is on screen: the session's reports on the session screen, or a job's reports on its page. See Make and print a report.

Job references that stay unique

Job references are now unique across your workspace, and the bench suggests the next one from your workspace when it is online. See Book in a job.

Retests you can follow

Each retest step says where you are ("Retest 2 of 3") above the step's own title. See Record the repair and retest.

Probe points you can reach

When NextProbe picks the pad for a lead, it now picks the one with the most room around it, a test pad before a tiny capacitor, and ground on a shield clip or screw pad on the same face. See Where the leads go.

Reports on the bench

Make the tech report, the customer report and the one-page job sheet as PDFs on the bench, offline if need be, with sign-off and a second tech's check. See Reports.

Jobs and customers

Book devices in at the counter with the counter checklist, track parts, and close jobs with or without a fix, on the bench and in the web app. See Jobs.

The short hunter

When a rail reads as a short, NextProbe sweeps every part on it from your board file and names the one reading lowest. See Hunt a short.

Your board files never leave your computer.
