The phone companion

The NextProbe phone app pairs with one bench and follows it. Prop the phone beside the board and it shows the step the bench is on, where the leads go and the last reading, so you can keep your eyes near the probes. It also takes board photos for the open session, records voice notes, and lists what changed in the workspace's jobs and reports.

It runs on an iPhone with iOS 17 or later, or an Android phone with Android 12 or later. The phone has no sign-in of its own: pairing with a bench gives it a key for that bench's workspace.

The app has five tabs along the bottom: Bench, Camera, Voice, Alerts and Profile.
