Verdicts

Every reading gets one of three verdicts against the expected range. The icon and the word always appear together.

VerdictLooks likeMeans
In rangeBlue, circleInside the expected range, a bound included.
CheckAmber, triangleJust outside a bound, within that bound's check margin. Worth a second look. The fault tree decides what comes next: on most steps it carries on as In range does, and on some, such as the rails on a power walk, a Check is followed up the way a Fault is.
FaultRed, octagonBeyond the check margin. The session follows the fault.

A Check: just over the range, inside the margin.

A Fault: far outside the range, with the reason in numbers.

A range with only one bound ("At least 2 kΩ") judges only that bound. An open reading (OL) takes whatever the fault tree says OL means at that point: a fault on a diode check, in range on a resistance check where open is healthy.
